The Hospital’s Chief Medical Director Professor. Jesse Otegbayo was recently honoured by the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Oyo State.

Conferring the “Combatant Patron” honour, the state Chairman of (PCRC), Reverend Peter Omofoye extolled Prof. Otegbayo saying:” the PCRC admires your role in securing lives and property in UCH, that is why the committee is conferring on you this honour, you are the first-ever Professor of Medicine in Oyo State to be conferred this honour.” He further stated that:”community policing is meant to bridge the gap between the police and the community as well as bring both parties to complement each other’s role in crime fighting, which is everybody’s duty.”

Reverend Peter added that the Oyo State Police Command is committed to sustaining peace and security of lives in

the state, he also thanked the hospital management for the support it has given to its personnel and the command over the years.

Receiving the honour, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Otegbayo thanked the Oyo State commissioner of police and members of PCRC for the recognition noting that he has been charged to do more. He also restated his commitment to strengthening the security architecture in the hospital.

The Commissioner of Police Oyo State Command, CP Sina Olukolu was represented by DSP Fatoki Grace at the conferment.
