September 5, 2020uchInformationprdepartmentUncategorized

The Federal Character Commissioner representing Oyo state, Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela today paid a courtesy call to the Hospital.

According to the commissioner, the visit which was to seek for equitable distribution of personnel in all Federal establishments including UCH, is in line with the mandate of the Federal Character Commission.

While speaking, Prof. Adeniyi said “we visit Federal Institutions across the state to ensure that the guidelines of the commission are complied with so in line with this we have come here to carry the management along.”

In his response, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Otegbayo pledged to work with the Commission in the implementation of its guidelines.

Otegbayo stated that the university college Hospital has the entire country as its catchment area and will seek to work with the Federal Character Commission in ensuring that recruitments into the Hospital reflect national spread and merit so that no group will feel marginalized.

The Federal Character Commission was established to implement and enforce the Federal Character Principle of fairness and equity in the distribution of public posts across all institutions of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
