Mr. Kolawole Akintunji Oyeyemi

Head (Hospital Services Department)

Mr. Kolawole Akintunji Oyeyemi was born on 15th July, 1966 to the Oyeyemi Family of Ogbomoso South Local Government area, Oyo State. He attended Idi-Ogun Sanni Primary School, Ile-Ife where he obtained his Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1979. Thereafter, he proceeded to Methodist Grammar School, Ogbomoso where he obtained his West African Examinations Council Certificate in 1985. He furthered his education to the Academy of Computer Education and acquired Diploma in Computer Science in 1989 and was later awarded Diploma in Computer Data Processing by the Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye.

He possesses B.Sc (ED) Economics (1999) from the Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye, B.Sc. Public Administration (2018) from Lead City University, Ibadan and Masters of Information Science (M.Inf.) 2004, from the University of Ibadan.        

Mr. Oyeyemi commenced his career in this Hospital as Trainee Computer Operator on 17th October, 1990 in the Computer Unit (now Information Technology Department). He was promoted to the post of Computer Operator II with effect from 1st July, 1993 and Senior Computer Operator with effect from 1st July, 2003. Thereafter, he was converted to the post of Administrative Officer II with effect from 1st November, 2004 and rose through the ranks to the post of Deputy Director of Administration with effect from 1st January, 2020.

Mr. Oyeyemi has attended several conferences and workshops in Nigeria. He is an Associate of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN) and Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (MNIM) and Member, Nigeria Computer Society, respectively.

Prior to his deployment to the Hospital Services Department in February 2020, he worked in the Human Resource Department where he later headed the following core units; Training, Administrative and Technical, Nursing, as well as Residency Training. He served as the IPPIS Desk Officer for the University College Hospital, Ibadan up till his deployment from the Human Resource Department.

Mr. Oyeyemi was appointed by the Hospital Management as Head of the Hospital Services Department with effect from 3rd March, 2021. He is a seasoned Administrator who has demonstrated excellent leadership in different capacities in this Hospital and beyond.
