WACS LAUDS UCH FOR SUPPORT AND LEADERSHIP ROLE IN MEDICAL TRAINING

The President of the West African College of Surgeons (WACS), Professor Peter DONKOR has praised the leading role the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan has played in medical training in the West African Sub region.
Professor DONKOR while speaking during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the College to the UCH Chief Medical Director, Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo appreciated the support the Hospital has been giving to both examiners and students during examinations of the West African College of Surgeons.
The President noted that “UCH is a premier teaching hospital that has contributed immensely to medical training, and we at the College of Surgeons cannot come here and not tell you that we appreciate the support we have received from both the Hospital and you the Chief Medical Director (CMD)”, saying “the CMD has been very kind to us, while we cannot overlook the role of UCH during the fellowship examinations of the West African College of Surgeons”.
The Chief Medical Director, Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo in his response expressed his appreciation to the President and other Executives of the WACS for the kind words about UCH and his person.
Professor Otegbayo assured the College of the continued support of UCH, and that the Hospital will always provide a conducive ambience for the WACS to conduct her examination.
Members of the entourage included the 1st Vice President of the WACS, Professor Emmanuel EZEOME and the Secretary General, Professor Phillip MSHELBWALA
